    Scrolling Folders

I am not sure if this makes sense or not but i will give it a try and explain what I mean! I have a folder that has many subfolders ie... Music>Band Names> and each band folder has albums. When I open the Music folder, the folders arrange in alphabetical order from left to right; meaning I use the scroll bar at the bottom(horizontal) to scroll alphabetically. I like it this way. I have another folder that is called Movies>and in that folder are all my movies and they are arranged alphabetically but in order to scroll them alphabetically, I have to use the scroll bar on the right(vertical) and scroll from top to bottom. I don't like that! Anyone know how to set all folders to work so I have to scroll horizontall in alphabetical order instead of Vertically in alphabetical order? I have tried going to the folder how I like the setting and going to Organize>Folder and search options>View and Apply to all folders, but this doesn't seem to work on the other folders. Help please!

    Thank you,
    Dave

Hi Dave, welcome to the Seven Forums.

That depends on what view you have chosen. If the contents of an Explorer window is shown in List view, the scrolling is horizontal. If you choose any other view (icons, details, tiles or content), the scrolling is vertical.
