Help! Missing icons in Windows 7 Live Mail 2011

    Greetings,
I purchaesd a Toshiba laptop 3 days ago and getting my feet wet with Windows 7. I'm going nuts trying to install the menu bar in Live Mail. The 3 small icons on the upper right are missing and I've trid every Alt keyboard command possible. I spent 14 straight hours yesterday, slept for 2 hours and back at it. My head hurts! I contacted Toshiba and they blew me off to Microsoft, who wants money for support. The unit is less than 72 hours old, and there is no support. Ive viewed hundreds of pages online and get the same fix over and over. That is to use an icon that I don't have, or use Alt-M. I just sent backup files to external HD and am getting ready to do a destructive recovery. Any help would be appreciated. Barring a fix, I'm either going to install XP Pro, or return the unit.

    Hi diablodrew,

Do you have a little down arrow either where the icons should be or underneath the ribbon? If so press it and select what you want to see.

The upper right corner is blank except for the little blue help icon. No arrows...nada.

The screen looks like yours. There's supposed to be 3 icons. I think one looks like a pen, and one is a dropdown arrow that would give enabling to the menu bar. I uninstalled/reinstalled the 2011 software around 6 times. The person at Toshiba told me about some link at Microsoft, but I was so brain dead I didn't write it down. it was microsoft/ support blah blah, or something like that.
