Hello to all,
I run Secunia, it shows all the Adobe Flashplayers and Shockwave players as being completely compromised, at the highest level of risk and there is no current fix other than uninstall them.
What do you people in the KNOW do about this situation?? Need some advice....

Adobe has been a target for quite some time now. As long as you use common sense, and keep your AV software up to date (assuming you are running a quality one), you should be fine. Add in a secondary manual scanner, like Malwarebytes, and you'd be good to go.
Make sure you have the latest Flash and Shockwave player. You always want the newest version with the latest security updates.
Test Shockwave here. It will prompt you to install a newer version if available. Adobe - Test Adobe Shockwave Player
Click the link directly below the Shockwave player and this will test and promt you for latest Flash player if needed.
For latest Chrome version of Flash- if you use Chrome web browser- you need to download the newest version of Chrome.

Also Deacon Frost idea is very good- download and install Malwarebytes. Open then update and run a full scan.
It can be left on the computer and run when you want. Always Update first before scan for latest definitions.
The free version is not an active AV so no clashing with other AV's.

I would like to thank you all for the advice. Luckily I'm doing it already and with no-script extension on Firefox, it won't let anything run unless I specifically let it. Now I wish I had better criteria to use on the choice making, I usually only let them run if I am really interested in the site and Norton Safe Web says that the site has not had any problems. Secunia takes care of when a program needs updating and does it automatically. Then I run a scan at least once a week to see that the automatic part is working. I just wish they would fix the dang things. I mean how long must a user wait before a major necessary software doesn't have maximum critical ratings?
You've given me some reassurance that I'm about as safe as I can be. Many thanks.
