    Help with Icon Spacing

    Hi,

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and would like to know how to change the icon spacing on the desktop so they are closer together. I used help and support on my pc for "icon spacing", but couldn't find instructions on how to change it. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

Right click on an empty space on your desktop and choose 'Personalize' then on the Window Color icon. Then click on Advanced appearance settings.

In the new window that pops up, from the drop down menu you'll have a couple of choices for icon spacing, vertical and horizontal.

    I hope that helps.

    Welcome to SF!

The easiest way to change the size of Desktop Icons is to hold the <ctrl> key down while you spin the Mouse wheel (presuming you have one, of course).

roban's advice is dead-on and will give you control of the spacing without any icon re-sizing.
