Windows Restart at login

I just built my pc about a week ago and everything has been running fine until today. When I tried to login, windows just restarted. It kept doing this every time I tried to login. I can get to my desktop through safe mode. I just reinstalled windows and everything worked so I installed my graphics card driver. When that was done I had to reboot and I was right back to square one. Unfortunately I'm completely computer illiterate so please speak in terms I can understand :P
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4
Nvidia GTX 460 1gb
4gb RAM
MB ASUS M4A79XTD EVO 790X AM3 RT

All help is much appreciated. Let me know if you need any more info.

Hi there,

Try removing unessential devices like a wireless adapter or sound card and retry. Starting in safe mode lets the computer start with minimum amount of drivers needed.

I just shut my machine down. And then booted it up again and it's working fine. Hopefully it will continue to work. Can you recommend anything so this won't happen again?

I would remove any unessential devices, check for viruses and check your drivers, make sure they suit your product and your windows version (x32/x64)

I seems your system is a tad unstable, I am not sure what the solution is or what the problem was so just try keep on edge about your drivers and software.

Glad it's fixed

Yeah I'll definitely check all that. I just built this thing like a week ago and I barely had any programs on it. I'll just make sure to re-install everything one at a time.

If you have the CPU or graphics card overclocked that can make things unstable.

If you do OC going back to stock settings may cure it. If not then disregard.

Edit: I read a bunch of reviews on newegg and apparently I'm very much not alone in this situation. I guess just a head's up: Don't buy a gigabyte GTX 460 1gb. There must've been a bad batch or something. Mods, you can close/delete if you'd like.

Changing the default login upon restart
Hey guys, I had a quick query. We have an enterprise setup wherein we have users on a domain. Now whenever we need to do some changes we login via the administrator a/c. What happens upon restart is that it shows the Administrator a/c again when we press CTRL+ALT+DEL to log on. Is there any way to...
