I got excited, because it told me to restart, and then it said "configuring windows features" on startup, then it automatically rebooted, said that again, but it still says "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display" in System. :P

    This is quite puzzling.
    OK- let's try this.

Open the Run box under the Star button and type: msconfig <enter>
Under the Services Tab, see what it says about Tablet PC Input Service.
    Is it running? Stopped?
    Uncheck it in any case.
If it was checked to begin with, then re-boot.

    If that doesn't work then:

Be very careful here- disabling/uninstalling the wrong thing could develop into a nasty piece of business for you.
I'd make a good, recoverable, verifiable backup before you continue. You've been warned.

Open Device Manager in Control Panel
    Click View/Show Hidden Devices

Open these and see if there's anything listed regarding the Tablet business

    • Human Interface Devices
    • Mice and other pointing devices

If nothing there you could check some of the other entries.
    I'll repeat- make backups.
    ---

    Let me know...

There is no service mentioning anything about a Tablet, nor is there anything to this effect in Device Manager, that I can see.

No worries. It might be impossible. :P

I was just curious, as all. No worries. I appreciate all the attempts.

I'll mark this as solved anyway, since there is no way to do this.
