recycling bin missing

    recycling bin missing


    I already tried restoring the recycling bin with these methods:
    Recycle Bin Icon - Allow or Prevent to Display
    Desktop Icons - Add or Remove

    but it still is invisible. I don't recall how i deleted it, but i can't seem to retrieve it. All google gets me is the solutions above, which don't seem to help.

    any ideas?

    This may work in OPTION TWO
    Desktop Icons - Add or Remove
    I have read one of your articles, it appears the same as mine. Try again it really should work

    I had re-done it multiple times, even yesterday and shut off the PC for the night. Still didn't come back.

    but now I played with the task bar and made that smaller and it came back. Weird.

Hello all! I have 400GB external Seagate. I've checked the USB power options to see if this was an issue- no. They are disabled. I wonder if it isn't a time-out inherent in the drive itself? I don't want it to power down until I shut it off manually.

Recycling old hard drives

After upgrading, I've found that I have 7 IDE hard drives ranging in size from 1 GB (!!!) to 200 GB. I'd like to get rid of them all. Is there a free reliable recylcing service out there. I've already wiped them clean (except for the 1 GB drive which won't spin up. It's from 1994).
