    Subjectively I would say so. I've not done any benchmarks but I'm now on my fifth build after 7100.
    I noticed quite a difference between 7100 and 7127 (as I've said elsewhere).
    It immediately seemed snappier and quicker to load apps etc.
    The builds since then have been much harder to distinguish from each other but they are all good although some people had problems with 7137.
    Most recently I have done upgade installs from 7201 to 7229 and now 7232.
    7229 seemed completely stable and so does 7232 but I've only had it for a couple of days yet.
    I am happy with 7232 but I suppose the sensible advice would be to go for 7229 as that was a proper .iso release whereas 7232 is a vhd file that has been customised by our respected friend SoLoR.
    On the other hand I'm pretty happy with 7232 and it seems fast and stable and has a good "feel" to it.
    In a "blind" test I imagine I'd have difficulty telling the difference between any of the post 7200 builds.
    They are all good.

    Cheers, John

    7229 x64 -> 7232 x64

    I upgraded from 7229 x64 -> 7232 x64 and it runs like a horse.

    Hey fellas. Extremely new guy here.

    I am in love with windows 7. I was a vista fan even with the few problems (fortunately I didn't run into any of the major ones).

    I'm using 7100 atm, or at least that's what it says right above the bottom right corner of my superbar. (Evaluation Copy - Build 7100).

    I have a few questions. and you can either answer them or point me in the right direction because I am sure they are somewhere here on the forums I just haven't found it yet.

    - Where else can I check what build I'm using besides my desktop? (Don't really trust it)

    - and How do I continuously upgrade to newer builds? I don't mind upgrading a few because I figure I'll go for a clean install every couple of versions. I also understand some of these versions are "leaked", so where do I check to see which version of windows 7 microsoft has actually released for me to upgrade to and which are leaked versions?

    Thanks for your time.

    Type winver in the start menu search box, hit enter.

    7000 and 7100 are the only two builds ever officially released and condoned by Microsoft. Any others are leaked builds and you can upgrade with all of them, except the latest one we're discussing lately, 7260.

    Oh and hello, welcome!

    Personally, I haven't seen any significant differences between 7100 and the latest build. Most of what people report is subjective.

    Is it better than 7100? Yes! Microsoft wouldn't make newer builds worse than the previous ones would they.
