HDD no Longer Booting-Hangs for over 2 hours-Stuck on Starting Windows

Afternoon..Please..For the Love of Anything or Anyone you love...Please try to help me with some Genuine Information ...I refuse to believe my 500g Sata Hard drive that has over 400gs of file and information, is all now magically a paper weight. No Physical damage has happened to the Drive at all. This is the Issue:

Originally Half of the Drive was Encrypted with True Crypt and the other Half was the System Drive((C drive 50g)) and a "general" Drive/ ((175gigs)). The Problem started when some odd way it seems My Encrypted drive become corrupted to the point it would no longer easily mount. It would take 4~5Min's to mount as opposed to the normal 4~5 seconds. What happens when it did mount, The Drive was not working correctly. I couldn't access my files on that drive at all. Not only that, While it seemed like it did Mount the True Crypt Drive, my entire CPU became Non responsive. I couldn't do anything. I was unable to click on anything on the desktop, bring up task manager or even ctrl+alt+del to log off or anything. It was like it was frozen but I was only able to move the mouse...I waited a while((15~20Min's)) and went to restart the CPU by holding the power button.

Now When ever I try to load or boot from that Hard drive...Nothing Happens....It hangs at the "starting Windows" screen. I have windows 7-64bit ultimate. I tried to load from the Win 7 disk, and it hangs at a blank Screen. When I tried to use the repair feature of the Win Xp service pack 2((Remember windows XP *_*??))It hangs at analyzing the Hard drive "47850 asapii at 0 at 0 something something"..When I try to use the advance options of the Windows 7 boot, Safe mode of all types hangs at lading the drivers, Last Known good Configuration hangs at starting windows. Its Like part of the HDD doesn't want to load for anything in the world . And When I have mentioned Hangs I mean it sits there for 1~2 hours and nothing has changed.

I have ideas in my head But I don't even Know if they are possible. Oh Oh..at when I try to Load the HDD by having a back up 40g hard drive be the main booter it STILL hangs at the starting windows screen. I know its sometimes suggested to try it HDD in another CPU but if its not the main Boot Drive is that the same thing? Really don't have any Mobos that have Sata Slots for me to try that out on.

I'm praying a simple chkdsk would Solve everything But there's no way I can Issue that Command. My Question(s) are:

Is there a Way to force the CPU to do a chkdsk command pre boot?

Is there a way to have the HDD disabled at start up and enable it during the back up drives desktop((Via check for hardware changes or the "Manage" feature by right clicking computer from the start menu.))

Is there a way to "Fixboot" or FixMBR" outside of using the installation disks?

Is there a way to make an Unbootable/Unreadable HDD..Readable/bootable?

For some reason I think the "C" drive is semi OK as it still tells me I can boot windows 7 but never does, I'm thinking the "B" drive is the one that really needs the Chkdsk Help .

I'm out of Ideas and I have tried to make this work for 3 days Now..I'm Desperate . Thank you all to those who provide Real Help and Have a Happy new Year.

May I ask why you are using XP to attempt repairing Windows 7?

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, Boot into Repair console on second screen of Windows 7 installation DVD or Repair CD, accept any offered Repair. System Repair Disc - Create
Repair CD - System Repair Disk

If it doesn't start Windows 7, boot back in, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times to see if it will start. Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

If this fails, make sure Windows 7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved boot partition are marked Active, then run the Repairs again: Partition - Mark as Active

All commands and fixes are automated in Windows 7 Startup Repair but you can run Disk Check separately from the Recovery Tools list Command Line if you want.

If not, you can copy out your files using DVD/CD using this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Then wipe the HD to clean reinstall following these tips to get a perfect install based on hundreds done here: re-install windows 7

Thank You for your Speedy Reply.

"May I ask why you are using XP to attempt repairing Windows 7?"

Certainly..I apologize I didnt mention it was a "duel Boot" HDD..I have Xp and 7 installed on it and neither of the 2 are loading..It was also My Hope and Goal to run the chkdsk command video the XP repair/reinstall Interface..Something I could never get to..

"Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, Boot into Repair console on second screen of Windows 7 installation DVD or Repair CD, accept any offered Repair. System Repair Disc - Create
Repair CD - System Repair Disk"

When I have Attemtped to Have only the 500g Sata Drive hooked up and Nothing else, I attemtped to Boot from the Windows 7 Disk, And after it claims it has finished Loading..It hangs at a blank black screen for all Enternity .

"If it doesn't start Windows 7, boot back in, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times to see if it will start. Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times"

I can Not Advance past the Black Screen after the "Windows is loading Files" screen.

All commands and fixes are automated in Windows 7 Startup Repair but you can run Disk Check separately from the Recovery Tools list Command Line if you want.

"If not, you can copy out your files using DVD/CD using this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console"

I will Read this Right now and See if this Will work. Again I can not thank you enough for your information and I will reply shortly if eitehr Option C or D will work..Thank you again.

Then wipe the HD to clean reinstall following these tips to get a perfect install based on hundreds done here: re-install windows 7

I have looked at your Options you provided and they are all excellent Splendid Ideas and suggestion..the Only and Biggest problem(s) is I can Not get to the Windows 7 Installation screen at all . It hangs and never loads to that section..I also Read the Big red bold letters that said your HDD must be readable..And I fear it may Not be....Kinda hard to say or tell what parts of it isnt readable..The system Drive "C" or the General Drive "B"...Or Both...Id assume if it wasnt readable at all it wouldnt give me the Option of Selecting to boot from Win XP or Win 7? Or even Make it to the "Starting windows Screen"?

I am not sure

Does the XP CD find an installation to Repair when booting it? Repair Windows XP - How To Perform a Repair Installation of Windows XP - Part 1 of 2

Try rebooting Windows 7 HD and tapping the F8 key repeatedly to get Advanced Boot Tools menu. Is the Repair My Computer console on there? If so try running the Repairs from there.

If not, try burning the Repair CD from link given to see if it will boot and do the Repairs. We need to rule out the DVD being corrupt.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version update. If so, reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Check all cables, swap them out. Check mobo connections. Try repairs with only target HD plugged.

If this fails, burn to CD memtest86 CD and run it for 5-6 passes: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

If memory passes the test, next burn to CD the HD maker's diag/repair CD to test HD: HD Diagnostic
