Dynamic Battery Meter is Unchanging [FIXED]

I've been having an issue with the default windows 7 battery meter/icon in that whenever I unplug my laptop the battery meter will show that I have 100% battery charge up until the battery reaches a critical level and the laptop hibernates. Help anyone?

EDIT: Just happened a couple moments ago. The laptop ran for most of it's battery life with the battery icon still showing 100% charge and then just shut off without warning.

It's been a while and I've made a new discovery so I've decided to bumb this.

All right so I thought it was just Windows being Windows a first so I downloaded a new battery meter from a 3rd party company that was much more extensive on information. Apparently it could only get a 1% accurate read and my battery life never went down. I'm thinking this could be a problem with the BIOS or something? Not really sure at all. HELP!

I managed to fix this by installing the Asus Power4Gear battery manager software. Please delete this thread.
