    Can't find Group Policy Editor


    I have logged in as administrator and I am trying to start up the 'Group Policy Editor' using gpedit.msc but Windows 7 can't find it. Is this something that has to be installed or comes inbuilt with Windows 7?

    The Home edition does not have access to the Group Policy.

    True, but isn't there a fix for this? Can one simply add the file(s) from a version that does?

    Not that I know of, and, of course, it wouldn't be sanctioned if there were. Generally, those with HP must edit the registry.

Will either of these allow me to restrict drive access to a single user only? I've tried to restrict drive access with Group Policy Editor but it applies the restriction globally--even to me the administrator. Could anyone let me know if this is possible and how to do it? Much thanks.

Hello guys! I need to know how to launch Group Policy Editor. I already know how to launch it via gpedit.msc But thats not working for me. Maybe because i have SSD disk and I have disabled search and indexing. So hopefully some genius out there might know of a another way of launching...
