can't find vbscript...

    can't find vbscript...


    trying to run some vbscripts and receive error 'can't find script engine "VBScript" for script xxxxx. tried doing regsvr32 on vbscript.dll and received OK msg, but did not do any good. also ran regsvr32 for 'jscript.dll', but again did not work... appreciate help to enable vbscript engine. i checked sytem32 folder and vbscript.dll is there..

    no registry key


    do not have that key in registry... os is win 7 pro 32 bit...

    OK, try this;

    Run CMD as administrator,


    reg delete “HKCU \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}” / f

    Then do this TWICE!

    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

    OK. Sorry, I don't know any other quick fixes. That one worked on three win 7 32 machines, and not on one other. ( Had to do a new install on that one! )
