If you're looking to restore the contents of a folder after you've deleted it, you might be out of luck.

You could try this though: Restoration download and reviews from SnapFiles

If you have any restore points you should be able to restore files and folders using Shadow Explorer. ShadowExplorer.com - About

I forgot to include this link to a tutorial by whs ShadowExplorer - Recover Lost Files and Folders

The following is a screenshot from shadow explorer of a "virgin" user on my system.

These are the real folder names. Some of the folders that you see in explorer are "dummy" folders known as junction points "MyDocuments" is an example. Some also are hidden and system files. The above structure actually shows in explorer as.

with hidden but not system files displayed.

I'm sure that there is a tutorial here somewhere on this but at present I can't find it.

The two that you mention I can't find on my system but if they were on yours and you deleted them they should show in shadow explorer if you have a restore point that is old enough.

I don't know which of the folders is absolutely needed for stable operation. Perhaps someone else here may be able to advise you better.

Thinking about it the two files you mention sound like loader files. They may not be in the shadow copy.

Also it is not a good idea to play around with system files unless you absolutely know what you are doing.

If you user account is corrupted it is probably best to create a new account, copy your data files into that and delete the corrupt account when you are sure everything is working correctly. Don't forget to take image backups before you do anything critical so that you can get back to where you were.

hi kado

why windows 7 doesnt protect importnat folders as "Public folder" , like xp wouldnt let you remove "all users" folder easly/?!

doesnt windows seven recreate needed folders automaticly?

kado man, for the folders which i meant in the earlier post i meant for the folders in C:\Users\ .......

apart from my user folder which folders should be allso , like "all users" in xp
