    Download Folder

I get an error "file does not have a program associated with it" when I click the Downloads folder. Also properties for the folder do not have anything in the Target field. Can you tell me how to fix this? Thank you.

when you download folders, do you download them to downloads? If you do, find out where the downloads folder is on your computer. Go back to the user folder, find downloads - properties- location tab - move- in the winow that opens go to that folder-click on it- OK-then click apply. The next window that appears be sure to click yes-then click OK. you are done.

I can't find it, it is not in my users folder and I did not try to move it, so I do not know what happened. It looks like I have to try and restore it. Found the following on that subject.

User Folders - Restore Default Location

Is this what I need to do?

Basically, YES but run a backup first and set a restore point.

Here's the restore point tutorial: System Restore Point - Create

Sould be fine with just a restore point, but just in case: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
