    OOBE Folder aarrghh!


    Hi can someone tell me where the oobe folder is looked in C>Windows>System32 with no folder named oobe? ...have OobeFldr.dll though...

    anyone.

    and yes show hidden folders is on.

    Copy and paste this to the Windows Explorer addressbar:
    Code:
    %WINDIR%\System32\oobe
    This should show you the contents of Oobe folder. It should be there, it is a system folder creted when you install Windows 7. It's not hidden.

    Reason i am asking is that I followed this guide to change the logon background screen.

    Followed it by the letter but still get the original background.

    There's a much easier way to do it. I've changed mine using option 1 of this tutorial. BTW, as it happens I just posted earlier today a screenshot of my logon screen on another thread.
