When it expires (open Start and type: Winver) I believe it locks you out of the OS. Correct me if I am wrong.

I suggest upgrading to Windows 7 RC @ http://www.microsoft.com/windows7

As far as I know only win 7 version 7000 (beta) is going to start to time out on July 1, 2009. 7057 should not expire then but you will probably want to upgrade before it does. the current build is 7260 ( for 32 bit 7229 for 64) and it is close to what rtm is going to be

Let me know if you need help

Hello again, he ment it doesn't expire at the same time as Build 7000 (original public beta).

Open start and type: Winver

It will tell you when it expires.

The 7057 will expire on the date winver shows for the RCs. The RCs will start seeing shutdowns every 2hrs. from then on until 6/1/2010.

Exactly, thanks for providing the date.

After 6/1/2010 is when you are completely locked out of the OS I believe?

By the time 6/1/2010 comes along most will either already have been running the finished 7 after 10/22 or worn out from the 2hr. shutdowns for sure! Anything after the 7048 I believe saw the 3/1/2010 date on them. The 7022, 7032 are too close to the 7000 beta there.

Correct, though I still suggest you upgrade to build 7100 from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/
