Issue with multiple user folders and folders opening in new windows
Hi there, well I finally got so frustrated that I decided to ask for some help.
My problem with my system is a very odd one.
Let me set up a situation.
I have all folders showing in my navigation pane
I'm on the desktop
I open my user folder
that works just fine
Next I double click say, My Documents (anything will work in this case)
It opens in a new window.
I have the options for folders in a separate process unchecked, and open each folder in the same windows is selected
Now here is the weirder thing
I have TWO user folders in my navigation pane
For future reference in this post, first and second user folders are defined as in this picture
If click the second one it navigates to it, and then if I click a subfolder of the second one, it opens in the same window.
If I'm in a subfolder of the second one, and I click a subfolder of FIRST, it opens in the same window!
If however, I click the FIRST user folder, not a subfolder of it, it either open in a new window or brings the windows its open in to focus.
And lastly, if I click any other folder in the tree thats a subset of "Desktop" (computer, homegroup, etc.) while in either a subfolder of the first user folder, or the second user folder (and its subfolders) it opens in a new window (or focuses on the window if its already open)
Does anyone have any advice how to fix this?
It is not cause by the tabbar I have by the way. That was installed recently, and I've been having these problems for probably...6 months at least.
Please help me!
