8GB installed...3.43GB available on x64 Pro??

hey guys.

new to Windows 7 here. my third post here becaue at every step i'm having difficulties.

when I setup the computer I put in a Corsair XMS3 PC10600 4GB stick. today added a Patriot DDR PC10600 4GB stick. both same size, both same kind, same speed and latency (1333Mhz CL9) (and both even have similar blue heatsinks!).

in BIOS i'm only seeing 3.xx GB and in Windows it says 8GB installed 3.43GB available.

under task manager it shows physical memory as 3511MB...

i have an Asus P7H55-M LE motherboard, which supports 8GB memory using 2x 4GB sticks of exactly the kind i'm using. the processor is an Intel Core i3 540, which supports 16GB of the same kind of memory i'm using. the windows version is Pro x64...

so what's going on with the RAM?

NEVER MIND! Memory Remapping in BIOS - 8GB available now!!!
