    Need Help with Opening Folders

Hello all, first time on here and I got a problem that I can't figure out how to fix it. Up until recently I would typically be able to just double click on my folders and they would open. As of today, however, this only works for the folders on the desktop, and when I try to access other folders I get an error message stating "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." When I then go to right click on the folder, the option of Open is no longer bold and the option of Explore is bold. Is there any way to fix this? I tried going into folder options and other such routes but to no avail.

Hello Slogie, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This is third time I've seen this today. Not sure what's causing it, but download and merge the Directory and Folder options in the tutorial below. It will restore the default associations for them and hopefully allow you to be able to open folders again after the restart.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
