Can't launch applications?

I have no clue how to explain this, but I'll try to keep it simple.
I had a corrupt file, I accidently browsed it to an application file which was corrupted, and when I did that all the application programs turned white.

Hello!

Please merge lnk and exe from this tutorial: Default File Type Associations - Restore

and see if the problem is resolved.
