Unable to log into user profile with my password

I logged in fine this morning, then computer did a shutdown and I have not been able to log into my profile using my password since. It says my password or username are incorrect...I can't do a system restore because I can't log into my computer and I don't want to reinstall windows because I will lose everything... Any ideas to help me?

Depending on your brand of computer, tapping the F10, F11, F12 keys should get you a Menu screen to choose Boot from CD/DVD.

Hello Brandy, welcome to Seven Forums!

This first tutorial will show you how to boot to a repair CD that can be created using the info in the second tutorial (if you don't have a Windows 7 DVD) then you can use the tutorial Doc linked above and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.
