Unable to log into user profile with my password

    Hi barefoot... We do have the windows 7 DVD, but I would like to try to avoid removing everything in my computer...any ideas?

    If you can boot the Windows 7 DVD have a look at this one, neither tutorial method will damage/harm any data on the PC if used.

    If I take this back to before I put on the password will it remove any pictures or files I put on the computer during that time?
    We restored back 5 days when everything was fine but my password is still not working

    Success... The system restore worked after all... Weird though, it had said there was a restore error and counldnt restore, but then 15 minutes later we rebooted and it said the restore had worked and we are into the computer...

    Make yourself a second user acct with Admin privledges as a second way in if needed again.

    See if you can run an update for kapersky ?

    Hubby was able to update a fix kaspersky and he created the password backup disc for if it ever happens again.... Thanks again again for all of your help
