Recent item????

Hi I have windows 7 on my computer at my workplace. I have a doubt that somebody used my computer to open a file from a usb stick. And i would like to check that which file has been opened. I tried checking the recent files option but that option was turned off by default i think. Is there any way of finding that out that which file was opened as it is very very important for me to find out. Please help.

There's no way to log USB activity that I'm aware of (someone may correct me on this...). But you can keep others from using USB keys on your system, either through a registry edit (you could create and hide reg keys that turn this edit on or off):

Or you could use 3rd party software that password protects ports amongst other features. Here are two links regarding the same program:
