    Screen Captures (not My Doing)


    So Im Searching My Windows Drive, And looking around, Ive found Loads of screen shots of my desktop that wasnt initiated by me,
    So whats it all about, is this normal.

    not normal. whats their extension and where are they located. we could also use your system specs

    They Are *.jpgs files,

    and Ive sussed it out its a program I have installed called network magic, it seems its taking screenshots and leaving them in the Programs directory.

    Kinda Weird

    Ok now the feature is Disabled.

    Very weird! I guess this is a good reminder and wake-up call for all of us, that we need to regularly check to see what's on our systems! Especially with all of the highly sophisticated technologies nowadays that can wreck havoc with our computers! You were very lucky Britjoe that this software wasn't more malevolent! Glad you've got the situation under control now!

    Yea, that still doesn't sound right for a network troubleshooting program to take screenshots without your doing. What lead you to the conclusion it was Network Magic taking these screenshots?

    well the pictures were in the Network Magic Directory and I found in a setting in the Program to turn it off, it was set for some reason to take a screen shot every hour,

    That's weird. I'm not sure how an hourly screenshot can help you troubleshoot networking problems.

    That's really some magic you got going there, if I say so..

    It may be a good idea to remove that program if you don't need it.
