editing Target in shortcut properties box

I need to edit the target in the properties box of a desktop shortcut.

Trouble is I cannot as it is greyed out.
I am the administrator on the computer. I have read through this Run as Administrator tutorial but it does not seem to help as all its suggestions are greyed out also.

    Cheers

Edit: It is not all shortcuts just this one, it is a game mod and I am following the installation instructions but nobody else seems to have had this problem

    Hi, OnTheRopes! :)

Did you download the mod from the Internet? If so, did you "Unblock" it?

    Try this:

Right-click on the icon in question and click Properties. Click Open File Location. The actual location of the file/program/application referenced by this icon will open, with the relevant file highlighted. Right-click on it and mouse over Send to and then click Desktop (create shortcut). See if you can edit the target on the newly created shortcut.
