Windows 7 Build 7013

Is Windows 7 Build Fact or Fiction? The BitTorrent site for Windows 7 Build 7000 has been shutdown. Does anyone know how this works? When I was Beta Testing Vista I had no idea M$ leaked their software - Is that fact or fiction. Any real info out there. Finally if a person looks for 7013 there are alot people who want to charge $4.87 for three days to download it.
Thanks for your time

3 days to download it for money? WTF, something sounds fishy here.

Hello Patrick C, welcome to Windows 7 Forums!

Whether MS is the one that leaks their own software may never really be known; and in the grand scheme of things, matters very little. The fact that build 7000 is out in the wild is true. Myself; I would not pay someone for a "chance" to d'l a false build; the 7013 build that is supposedly floating around is not real.

Hello Patrick, your welcome!

Remember; the REAL public beta of 7000 (with keys) is due to be released by MS in about a week or so; just hold on.

That "public beta" of MS will be the 7000 right? Not the 04, 03, (insert your favourite number here), etc, etc, ?

Anf they will give away keys for each copy?

In other words, it will be the same to install Win 7 now and use an "activator" program or use an internet KEY ?

Not necessarily - M$ can easily start blacklisting copies that have been 'activate'.

I still have 21 days to activate mine, and see no need to activate as I will be getting a copy soon....why hose a good install and be forced to reboot if they *do* blacklist the activated ones? I'll wait patiently.

I only just now had to rearm my 6936 install for the first time. You people running 7000 have plenty of time... MONTHS.
