Hi Experts,

I have Dell 15r, which runs on win 7 home basic, i recently started using toshiba hard disk,
i have some files in the external hard disk when i try to move them or delete them i will get this kind of error message.

You could start by running the Disk Check utility on the drive:

Start > Computer > select (highlight) the drive > right click & Properties > Tools Tab > Error Checking > Check Now > Check "Automattically Fix File System Errors" > Start.

You could also check "Scan and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors", but this will take much longer, especially on an external drive.

Most times I run the standard scan and then if it finds errors I run it with all options checked. But in your case you might just "cut to the chase" as they say.
