I'm waiting for an official release and then see it pop up as a Windows Update to be installed.
Let them finish debugging and crashing. If it works like the new MSE update last week I'll definitely wait.

From what I'm reading from Technet, it's not a priority to get it out to the public. SP1 for Windows 7 isn't nearly as critical/major as it was for any other previous OS. The "good stuff" is really nothing more than a collection of updates which you really would already have if you ran Windows Update regularly. I'm not aware of their being any performance improvements or new functionality for Windows 7 being included with this service pack.
