Windows 7: Quick Launch ?

Hi.

I want to have the shortcuts be placed ON the taskbar as shown in the screendump attached to this query.

I have read about quick launch here on the forum, but I cannot get the dotted bar at the right of the start be moved.

How can I solve the problem ?

Hello Darkhorse,

Since you are using the Windows Classic theme, you will have the bar to the left of Quick Launch instead of the dotted lines. See step 8 in the tutorial below for details on this.

Many thanks. I think I got it.

Then now, how do I remove the text at the right of the shortcuts ?

Right click the taskbar, properties.

Taskbar Button Grouping - Enable or Disable

Taskbar Buttons: Always combine and hide labels (i think), Apply and accept.

The method that Punkster posted above to enable taskbar button grouping should take care of the text for you.

Sorry, I thought it was ok.

There's still text at the icons on the taskbar, and items to be moved to the taskbar.

Darkhorse, uncheck lock taskbar, then right click the quicklaunch toolbar and uncheck show title and show text.
