    Hi,

That is a little bit unusual. Sometimes, not always, this is symtomatic of a potential disk failure. How old is your laptop?

To check the health status of your laptop's hard disk, please download, install and run this program:

CrystalDiskInfo - Software - Crystal Dew World

Post the resultant image here so we can look at it further.

You also try running a CHKDSK using these steps:

    1. Open an elevated Command Prompt by clicking the Start Orb, and then typing cmd.
    2. Right-click on the cmd icon, and choose Run as administrator
    3. In the Command Prompt window type chkdsk /f and hit enter.

The computer will inform you that a chkdsk will run at next startup, so shut down the computer, and then restart it. When you restart the laptop, a CHKDSK will run before booting to Windows - it can take some time, so let it complete.

Also post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map using Snipping Tool in Start Menu so we can look over your configuration.

Did you make your Recovery Disks before clean installing 64 bit over 32 bit? Did you wipe the HD first or just boot to install over the OS partition?

Are you wanting to test 64 bit before deciding whether to keep it? If so, your Recovery partition can be run to restore 32 bit, but along with all of the factory bloatware.

Tips for clean reinstalling to get rid of factory bloatware: re-install windows 7

I did not have a chipset driver installed so i installed that from hp, i havn't had a problem since that. Could that have been my problem since i had yellow marker on my device manager.

Indeed - is the yellow exclamation mark gone now? If so, that was your problem. :)
