Windows security blocks me from my own files

I had problems with my laptop, so I have the hard drive from my laptop installed in an enclosure. I am trying to access the files from another machine but I get a permission error telling me I must view the security tab. Inside the security tab I see the message "unable to display ownler". How can I fix this?

You need to take ownership of the files....
To take ownership of files and folders you can use this Tweak and it will give you the option to take ownership when you right click on a file or folder or drive.
