Explorer.exe, two copies

Hi, I am new to the forum and i'm a complete noob when it comes to computer jargon.

I recently realised my little brother made two copies of explorer.exe (copy -paste) when he was messing with some files. Anyway i'm trying to get back to having one explorer as i think the two extra explorers might have slowed the computer down. I could delete the extra two but i'm worried it may damage the original explorer.exe. Also, in task manager there is only one explorer.exe running so i'm worried it may be one of the copies that are running and if i delete it that i may damage the OS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are fine. Don't worry about the copy. It sounds like he made a shortcut to explorer. As long as you only see one explorer in task you are fine. Its most likely not slowing your pc down any.

Internet Explorer help please.

Read the above, about multiple explorers, before you delete anything.
