    icon on desktop


    just got windows 7 and outlook 2010. How do i get the outlook 2010 icon to appear on my desktop?

    Type outlook in search
    When it jumps up right click and send to documents
    Then just drag from documents to desktop

    Better still when you right-click, mouse over Send to and click on Desktop (create shortcut).

    For the record, you can create shortcuts to any of your apps exactly as you did in any previous version of Windows. You can also pin them to your Start menu or your Taskbar by right-clicking.

    Yet another.
    Right click outlook in the Start - Programs. Drag it to the desktop. It will say something like "Move to desktop" Just release the mouse button and then you will see you can copy or move, as you wish.

Recently my desktop icon placement has not been able to stay put if I do a desktop refresh or a computer reboot. I have looked at many internet hits on this same topic and no solution suggested has worked. I've tried them all til I'm blue in the face! I have done the IconCache.db thing where...
Everytime i delete an icon on my desktop, another one becomes transparent I've been looking what was the problem couldn't find anything.
It happened after I used custo pack tools to apply the Elune theme I got from deviantart. does anyone know how fix this? :D
Really weird, see attachment.. Tried resetting the icon cache. It's like this on all of my desktop icons.. any ideas?
