No. I was saying to use an install disk from somerne else who has the same version of windows that you have but to use your COA#. Then use this tutorial to make your own install disk.

Oh I understand now...sure that method I was familiar with..it was just that almost nobody I know had a clean install DVD (since everybody around here in the back woods either goes to BestBuy or orders online. But I finally got my hands on one so I'll have to "sacrifice" one of my 4GB sticks (I wanted to do that for quite some time now

When you get ready to do the clean install, you may consider this tutorial by our own Honorable Barefoot Kid. BTW, when you type in "clean all", you may as well go have lunch somewhere. it will take several hours to complete.

Also, be aware that once you delete the recovery partition you have no way back.
