Windows 7: Almost a Newbie 2 W7. I have a few questions.

05 Feb 2011   #11

Home 7 64 on Alienware and Asus. W8 on Lenovo.

Now by new back port panel do you mean something similar to a IO shield, if so do most of those come with the spacer screws? This is something I will have to research being I don't want to get all ready to build and not have a clue on how to secure my MoBo.

Power supply calculator rocks! If my inputs are correct it gives me a 518 watt recommended rating. I do also have a slot fan on a lower pci slot I didn't count but that can't add much more hopefully.

I've had good luck at Amazon for various items, but NewEgg is the best. Ebay I never luck finding anything new I wanted for a good price, people there really like to jack up the shipping costs compared to most sites. TigerDirect is a great site to compare and get reviews but I rarely buy from there because prices seem high.

Appreciate all the help Doc!

Win7 Enterprise, Win7 x86 (Ult 7600), Win7 x64 Ult 7600, TechNet RTM on AMD x64 (2.8Ghz)

Here are a couple of IO panel shields I coud find quickly. Most of the ones I have used just pop /snap into place on the rear of the computer
