    i tried the recuva app my friend it found some files but not those i wanted to find what else can i do man im sorry for asking every second for an advice but those files are very very important to me i have everything there!

    Did you run the HD manufacturer's diagnostic/repair CD scan linked by theog above? It can repair HD's which are failing.

    Follow this with Disk Check

    my disk is the one F u see that it has 2gb free but i cant see my old files

    If this external is within a year of purchase you can call their Tech Support to help you recover the data. I would put it on them since it is included with purchase.

    The fact that the drive is not empty or RAW means the data should be recoverable but you should get help from the manufacturer to do this.

    the disk is from 2003 a friend gave it to me its very old and i don't have guarantee

    Which HD diagnostics CD scan did you run on the drive?

    What were the results of running DIsk Check?

    i run the command scan and i got a message that was saying that the drive has errors and i need to press Y/N to link the files something like that my friend
