7260 one step forwards 3 steps backwards

    Hi All

I just can't seem to be satisfied with ANY later build than 7137.

7260-X64 regresses -- My LAN card again doesn't work (fixed build 7137).

Backup (Acronis True Image Workstation) doesn't work anymore.
Office Outlook 2007 seems to get random problems when either attaching flles in email or retriving attachments.

DVD playing only works with VLC (media center appears broken).

PC-TV Terrestial digital TV cards (Hauppage / Pinnacle) don't work. (Build 7260).

If these builds are nearing RTM I hope that the compatability options will be fixed.

7137 for me is 100% stable and EVERYTHING I need is working.
    Cheers

This is why I've stayed with 7201 x64. These later builds seemed fishy to me and with all the debug code, it's to be expected that there would be problems. 7201 FTW until RTM.

7232 has made me the happiest ...

Has there been any confirmation of debug code presence and absence in any specific build? Not that it means anything, but Everest Ultimate reports no debug in 7232 x64.

Im on 7137 as well , I did have 7260 but due to user error when formatting a drive i deleted the wrong ISO lol. 7137 runs smooth and has no bugs that are noticable.

The general feeling is that 7260 x64 is quite poo

As it's a modified Windows 7 server x64 that's been altered to a client there have been reports of loss of performance and functionality. 7323 x64, although a modified VHD seems to be the best 64 bit version. Whereas 7260 Modified VHD seems to be the best x86 build.

So 7260 is not the way to go for my next upgrade?

It depends, if you use x86 (i've seen your specs) then the latest 7260 x86 by SoLoR is a must IMO. It's running flawlessly on my rig
