Newer version vs Older Versions of Windows 7 Ultimate

I keep reading about older versions of Win7 Ultimate. Meaning the newer ones are different? I am going to purchase Windows 7 Ultimate but is there a difference? I can get a fairly decent price on A site for an older version of Windows 7 Ultimate so is the smarter choice to purchase the newer though more costly versions, or the older versions at the cheaper price. ( at least 75 dollars up to 100 dollars USD difference in prices)?? Thank you for your help.

May the Good Lord keep you always in His loving arms!

There is no 'older version' of Windows 7 unless are are referring to the RC, the official RTM build is 6.1.7600

A site for an older version of Windows 7 Ultimate so is the smarter choice to purchase the newer though more costly versions
Beware of these 'sites' as they usually sell blacklisted Technet product keys

As far as I know, there's no such thing as old and newer versions of Windows 7 Ultimate. Are you thinking possibly 32bit and 64bit difference?

Ok thank you. if you look on Amazon and Ebay you see things like this: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate FULL VERSION [DVD] [OLD VERSION] by Microsoft Which is why I was asking. I wouldn't buy a key anyway. I will only buy a full version of the OS ( 32 bit is what I'll use ) but I don't mind if it contains both. I'd never trust buying just a "key" no matter how good the make it sound. Also it will have to be retail not OEM because of the possibility of bad keys or homemade discs and bad keys

Windows Vista isn't Windows 7, so maybe you were confused about the 2.
Windows Vista is the Older Version of Windows that came out before Windows 7.

Something to consider when buying into the 'deals' one can find online:

how to tell fake windows 7 ultimate from the real thing without openin

But you'll never run into those issues here:

No one in their right mind would buy an OS off of eBay, considering the high likelihood of being scammed and how well these scams have been documented. If you want Windows 7, buy it from a legit source, and then you'll have no worries. Simple as that.

The best deal right now is Win7 Home Premium 3 pack Upgrade for $129 on Amazon, NewEgg. This is cheaper than the $50 per OS given beta testers for pre-sale, and almost 3 for the price of 1.

Older Version may refer to pre-SP1or2 Vista Installation DVD.
