I'm in the UK. If I buy the upgrade from Amazon US, will it work in the UK?

No they won't! Oh well, it was worth a try. I can't believe that the upgrade is about £35 in the US, and it looks as if we won't get any upgrade option at all and the full pack will cost around £160!!

Does it really matter you have to wait until july 15 to order a product that won't be out until Oct 22 ?.

There are no upgrades for the E version (the one without IE) you can still get upgrades for the regular version.

Hi,

MS are not making Upgrade versions available in the (EU).

Some time in the future - they may find a safe way to do the upgrade with the E version - then they will sell upgrade versions. However, there are no plans for a "deal" if and when that happens.

You may be able to find the regular (non E ) version as imports - but there will be no pre order deal on those either.


The cheapest way to get 7 in the UK is to take the pre order deal for the FULL version.

This is 60% more expensive than the U.S. pre order for the upgrade version.

It will be £49 GBP ( $81 USD ) for Premium and £99 GBP ($163 USD ) for Pro.

While it is true , you would get the FULL version - many do not need or want the FULL version - in any case there is no advantage to that imo.

Therefore MS are forcing U.K. customers to pay much more than the U.S.

That's right , only the E version will be supplied by MS to the EU .

You might be able to import the non - E version.

Previously, people had been saying that the E version didn't apply in the UK, and that we would be able to get the 'normal' usual upgrade version.
Doesn't seem to be the case.
