can he not redirect the recycle bin into a new folder and max the size to say 5GB and save the data there? i wonder what temp files are on his system and has he looked at the possibility windows/other software temp files are being directed to the bin?

I'm outta here unless and until the OP tells what exactly the files are- their names, extentions.
Knowing this may help track down the cause.

I have just read this OP's previous posts in other threads and it would seem that he has been deleting some "Application Data" files having changed the permissions, it was never established really why he did this! I would guess that his PC is in the condition that only a complete clean install would solve the problems he has. He does seem a little reluctant to list the files in the bin that are causing the trouble. He did say that he thought he had a dud copy of Windows 7 but hasn't said where it came from. This info might help us help him!

    Jhmac,

You can upload up to a 2MB PNG file and attach it to your post.

If it's larger thatn 2MB, then you can ZIP the PNG file and upload it here, I'll be happy to convert it to ICO file for you and post it back for you to download it. :)
