Cannot delete file due to Windows Live Mail

I attached a file to an e-mail then sent via Windows Live Mail. It sent fine. Then I tried to delete the file but I get the message. "The action cannot be completed because the file is open in Windows Live Mail."

Did you try to close WLM and delete the file?

You may have to go to the Sent Items folder and delete the message that contains the file.

Yes if I close WLM and then re-open it I can delete the file, But thats ridiculous if I have to do that just to delete an attachment sent. I never had to go through all that trouble with Outlook.

Oh and tried that Jim,,, it doesent work. I actually have to close WLM and Re-open before I can delete.

This has happened to me a few times as well.
I simply dragged the file to the "deleted files folder"...... problem solved!

When you "close" a file, particularly an MS Office file, it isn't technically closed if you just click the Close "X" icon in the upper right corner. You have to actually click on File and then Close. Try closing your files that way, and see if it solves the problem.
