A most curious case of bad hyperlinks!

This is weird so I want to share it.
Just uploaded a new version of my old site.
Now on most pages there is a Sidebar Menu with 4 links.
The top and bottom links work fine,
but the middle two generate this error code:

"The requested URL /theory.html was not found on this server.
    Apache/1.3.42 Ben-SSL/1.60 Server at humanecology.com.au Port 80"

    I've checked the <a href .../> a million times ... it's fine.
And yes, the pages are on the server ... you can navigate to them.

Is there anyone into design who recognises this strange phenomena?

If you'd like to see an example go here:
    [
url] Human ecology, safe home, Civilisation, Geese, Environment,Articles. [/url]

Scroll down and look on right column for Sidebar menu.

    How weird is that?

    Here are your errors:

    http://www.humanecology.com.au/theory.html%20#def
    http://www.humanecology.com.au/articles.html%20#par

In both cases, you need to remove the extra space (%20) from the links so that they read as follows:

    http://www.humanecology.com.au/theory.html#def
    http://www.humanecology.com.au/articles.html#par

Well Dwarf ... you're right and I'll be buggered. How blind can I be. I stared at those links and just didn't see
    the space.
    Thanks mate!
    Mystery solved.

You're welcome. :) Sometimes spaces can be difficult to locate, especially in fonts that use proportional spacing and sizing.

    this strange phenomena

"phenomena" is the plural of "phenomenon" - a common mistake, that's why I am pointing it out. It should read:" this strange phenomenon".

I hated latin in school, but sometimes it is useful - LOL.

Dwarf, yes, it's like painting a wall ... after a while you can't see the spots which have been missed.
Thanks again for your fresh eyes.

Hii why, my, what a pedantic mood you're in today (and that's ok too).
But actually there was more than one misbehaving hyperlink so it was referring to the plural.
Must admit I do take some delight in knowing there are still those who care to notice!
