    Cant Format Partition......

Hello, I am having an issue formating my partition. I am not too good at wording myself so i am going to list what I did and what i want to.

I got a new hard drive and installed XP onto it, then I used partition magik to make 2 partitions. I installed 7 onto one partition so i couild dual boot and kept the other for storage.

What i want to do now is keep windows 7 and format the XP partition. Only thing is, it wont let me do that through windows.

What can I do? I dont want to lose my data from my storage and windows 7 partition.

Are you using the disk management interface? or are you going to my computer and trying to do it from there?

It probably won't work because the boot files are on the XP partition. I'll call that one of many reasons why I despise dual boot systems. Anyway, you'll likely have to use something else, like Partition Wizard to handle this job, as Partition Magic doesn't work with anything past XP. You'll also likely be repairing your Windows 7 install, so it can be bootable as well.
