    Brink,

    I followed your instructions to "restore". First, I restored to a point prior my installation of Dragon Naturally Speaking. I was glad to find that very specific restore point.

    After the restore everything looked good for a few minutes. The Admin icon was missing, leaving me with the same user account icons as before. I logged into my old admin account with the old password and thought I must be golden. Soon thereafter, however, I got a noticed a box that told me "System Restore did not complete successfully" "an unspecified error (0Xc000002).

    Windows then invited me to restore to an earlier point. I picked the next most senior restore point and had a go. Long story short, same thing happened.

    Then, I started looking around my PC for evidence of abnormal operation. So far, depite the "unspecified error" and "incomplete restore", everything seems fine, so far as I can tell so far, pretty much what I had before the crash.

    What now?

    If everything is running properly, then I wouldn't worry about do anything else other than backing up anything that you do not want to lose just to be safe in case it comes back.

    Brink, that was the answer I hoped to get.

    Now I will think twice before I try to install Dragon again.

    By the way, the "administrator" icon is gone again. Is there any reason for me to enable it again? I think I (my old account) is somehow an admin account so there might be two admin accounts or a conflict if I enabled "administrator" again.

    Thanks so much for your patience and help. Sorry for my confusion. This stuff is not quite Greek to me, but it's pretty much Macedonian.

    @dubina

    Nope you do not need to re-enabel the Administrator account. The only reason to do so is to fix your machine which you did and fixed it. Leaving it as is, is the best. -WS

    You're most welcome Dubina. That's what we're here for.

    No need to enable the "Administrator" account as WindowsStar pointed out. It went away do to the system restore since it was not enabled in the older restore point. That's all. :)
