    searching


    I use search a lot and have some difficulties with 7 search.
    I discovered in a post on some other forum (can't find it now) that there is a search "language" that allows powerful boolean searching.
    If you know what I'm talking about, can you point me to a reference that I could use to structure my searches?
    Or, better yet, a free download that provides an easy to use front end for searching.....

    Thanks. The AQS link doesn't mention W7. I assume it works in 7 also?
    And, know of any downloads that front-end AQS?

    Yes. It's for latest version of Windows Search, which is also used in Windows 7.

    We have discussed Windows Search and alternatives quite a lot here on Seven Forums. Personally I'm not so familiar with third party tools, being completely happy with Windows Search but check at least these threads to get some ideas:
