    Maybe a silly question...

    Good morning internet friends,
I know this may be a silly question, but I'm going to ask anyway.
I have Magicjack, and it leaves me messages in the form of .wav files in emails. These are then downloaded. They go directly to Windows7 download folder. Because this same folder gets all .tmp files, and plenty of other 'debris,' it fills quickly. So I made a folder to place all the .wav files in. Now, how do I get W7 to send the .wavs to this folder and not just the download folder????

Depends on the email cliet you use. I use Thunderbird and I can save attachments to anywhere I want.

    Good morning!!

Download something and after you see the Run Save Cancel prompt,
select Save and change the location.

    Thanks for understaqnding Mitchell.
I tried P5's advice. Apparently because I have already chosen a default program to open the .wav file with, it does not use 'run' or show me this window. It simply defaults to WMediaPlayer. Also, on right click, my only option is 'send to,' which includes my docs, but not a particular folder. I am back to square one. Help please oh W7 Great and Wise Geeks?

What happens when you try and download the wave file from gmail?
    Do you get a prompt?

Hi P5, and thanks again for sticking with me.
Gmail automatically downloads, I do not even have a password set up with MagicJack, so don't go through their program, as you are showing in screenshot 'VMail' If I can avoid it, I'd really like to.

    Hi Exotic.
Go to the current download folder and right click on any Magic Jack file.

Select Open With > Choose Default Program...
Under Recommended Programs, select Internet Explorer.
Make sure that "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked.
    Select OK.

IE should open and you can change the Save location.

The new Magic Jack files should get downloaded to the new location, as well as all your downloaded files.

I looked before answering...if I do this, I will be using IE? My default browser is Google Chrome, and I hate IE. WIll I be stuck with IE opening this new folder if I choose to go through with this? Sorry for all the extra questions, I'm just trying my best to keep IE out of my useage. It did not show Chrome as an option, btw.
