Windows 7: which version os is better?

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)

On a new Dell XPS the price difference between Professional and Ultimate is $20.00. At the same time, relative to Home Premium, the Professional edition seems to be more expensive on XPS, than on Inspiron. Ultimate is not even available on Inspiron. I am just happy to have the TechNet .

Win7 Home Premium Upgrade Family 3 pack dropped to $99 on yesterday.

There isn't any longer a thread to post this in so I thought I'd mention it here because at $33 per license this is cheaper than beta testers were offered in pre-sale.

It may be withdrawn by MS again as it was early last year.

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1

This is an odd thread as the OP already has Win 7 Professional, why is he asking if it is better the the Home edition? I did notice in his other threads he doesn't seem to come back at all!

Windows 8.1 Pro w/ Media Center 64-Bit

I personally have never had a reason to go to Ultimate, professional is perfect for me. Really the only difference between pro and ultimate is bitlocker(which I have no reason to use) and multiple language support(again no purpose). and I get pro free through MSDNAA.
