    Turn off onscreen keyboard

Windows 7 told me how to turn on the onscreen keyboard but I cant find where it tells me to turn it off. I'd think the logical place to tell me that would be with the turn on instruction. But nope I gotta go to the source of real information Windows 7 forum. Have a nice day.

Uncheck the Use On-Screen Keyboard box and press Apply.

I am having the same problem. I just recently used the Easy Transfer to transfer my profile/data from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium. While using Vista the keyboard started popping up and I could never figure out how to resolve it. Thinking that perhaps with the new OS, the problem would go away and it hasn't! I have tried the Ease of Use option, that box is already unchecked, I have turned off the Table PC feature too to no avail. Needless to say, I have used the blue button on the Startup/Login screen, uncheck it, click Apply, the OK button grays out with only the Cancel button as an option. When I reboot, same monster rears it's head. So, what is my next step? It's driving me crazy!!!

    on screen keyboard

I was told how to uncheck the box for not showing the onscreen keyboard but forget what it was. In any case after I did what I was told it came back the next time. so for the moment I just x it out. Looks like our problems are not quite the same. Mine will go after I x it out and stays out until I reboot. Windows 7 may be a better system than xp but it stinks in a few ways. I don't like it's search methods. In a browser window the screen goes crazy moving all over the place.
    Have a nice day
