    Windows Explorer problem

    For reasons I can not understand any time i delete or move a file i have to refresh the windows explorer in order to see my changes. If i don't refresh the system will acknowledge that a change has taken place but I can't visually see it. Has anyone else come across this sort of problem or simply has an answer as to how to make my windows act normally again? Thanks.

    gohardsupreme, yes this happens to me each time I delete an item. It acknowledges the move or change but like you say, it does not show visually to the eye until I back out of that screen and go look again(same as refresh). It acts this way every time I move or change an item. I will look at Jacee and Brink's link for an answer. Just letting you know It acts the same way here.

    I am kind of afraid to mess with the registry so will keep following this until we get a fix. Thanks.

    Copy the following red text, paste into a notepad window then save as "ForceRefresh.reg" (include the double quotes so Windows doesn't add .txt to the name.

    Open Windows Explorer, navigate to where you saved it and double click on ForceRefresh.reg. Clieck yes when asked if you want to continue.

    This does the same thing as you manually do at the link Brink provided.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{BDEADE7F-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}\Instance]
    "CLSID"="{4D5C8C2A-D075-11D0-B416-00C04FB90376}"
    "DontRefresh"=dword:00000001
