    Unmount a image from flash drive


    Hey guys,

    I used my flash drive to install Ubuntu on my laptop and now I want to remove it from the flash drive. It is 4gb but it says it only have 949mb of free space blank. How can I clear the rest? Thanks!

    Format the flash drive and it will be blank/empty again.

    When I right click > Format it says the capacity is only 953mb. When it formats it still is at 949mb. I have tried all the file systems and none of them work at fixing it.

    Have you opened it up in GParted in Ubuntu and tried deleting the partition and reformatting that way?

    After wasting half an hour playing around with Gparted I finally fixed it! Thanks!

    How to recover flash drive on Mac


    Hello there,
    Unmounting problem of flash card is very common problem, behind this there could be many reasons like corruption in header of drives, virus attack, abrupt ejection of drives.
